Porsche goes motor racing for many reasons, but one of our key motivations is to learn. What we discover on the racetrack - through advanced projects such as the 919 Hybrid LMP1 car - directly transfers to road cars such as the Panamera S E-Hybrid or the astounding 918 Spyder.

At the Festival of Speed, Chief Driving Consultant Gordon Robertson met up with Le Mans-winning Porsche driver Richard Attwood. Together they discuss the technology of Richard's 1970 Porsche 917, and compare it to that of the range-topping Porsche 911 Turbo S. Watch as Richard exploits the 911 to the full as he charges up the Goodwood hill.
