From conducting the world’s first extensive test drive in the Utah desert in 2009, to tackling the legendary Pikes Peak challenge in 2010 and driving autonomously in Las Vegas traffic in 2013, we’ve been working hard to perfect our piloted driving technology. Now, our engineers are making final preparations to put piloted driving to the ultimate test. On 19 October 2014, an Audi RS 7 Sportback is expected to reach speeds of almost 150mph on a lap of the Hockenheim race circuit in Germany - without a driver.
