Birthday boy Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling were both on target to help guide City to an impressive FA Cup quarter-final triumph away at Newcastle.

De Bruyne celebrated his 29th birthday in style by drilling home a first half penalty to fire Pep Guardiola’s side into a deserved lead.

And Sterling then secured our ticket into the last four with a sublime finish midway through the second half.

It was our 10th consecutive win in the competition and the reward for the FA Cup holders is a semi-final assignment with Arsenal at Wembley next month.
