Kinkladze: The Magician of Maine Road | Coming Soon to City+

Georgi Kinkladze’s legendary Manchester City career will be celebrated in a new CITY+ feature.

Set for release on Thursday 3rd February, Kinkladze: The Magician of Maine Road remembers the Georgian’s unique talent and recounts his unforgettable three season spell at City.

Blessed with an abundance of natural ability, Kinkladze arrived at the beginning of the 1995-96 campaign and became the star of a struggling team, mesmerising fans with his dribbling, vision and vast repertoire of skills.An iconic goal against Southampton and an unplayable performance against Newcastle United were among his many highlights and made him one of City’s most beloved players.In the latest production from City Studios Kinkladze recalls that memorable period in his own words, whilst there are also interviews with former team-mates Michael Brown, Paul Dickov and Ian Brightwell as well as number of fans.Watch the trailer for an idea of what to expect!
