Wörthersee festival, Czech-based Skoda will also join in on the fun with its own creation based on its pint-sized Citigo city car. Dubbed the Skoda CitiJet, the design concept was created by 16 apprentices from the automaker's vocational school. The Citigo is essentially Skoda's version of the Volkswagen Up! and gets an extensive make-over for Wörthersee. For starters, the students have chopped off the roof, transforming the hatch into a two-seater convertible. The heavily raked side windows are similar to those of the one-off Seat Ibiza Cupster concept that will also debut at the annual festival.

Skoda Citijet Concept Rear Three Quarters The rear end features a squared-off spoiler, while the sheet metal is finished in metallic blue and white paint. The 16-inch, multispoke rims are painted blue for the passenger side and white on the opposite side. The 74-hp 1.0-liter I-3 under the hood is standard fare, but the interior is fairly flashy thanks to black and red seats, a white dashboard, 300-watt stereo system, and interior LED lighting that reacts to the beats (a la Kia Soul). Skoda says the students started work on the Citijet design project six months ago. They worked closely with Skoda's design and production teams, ensuring the Citijet would be ready for the festival later this month.
