2021 Cairo Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup – Highlights Day 2

FIG Official - Day 2 highlights of the 2021 Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Cairo (EGY), 3-6 June 2021. 2020-2021 World Challenge Cup Series, 3rd stage.

Men Day 2 Highlights:
Gold on Horizontal Bar gave Illia Kovtun (UKR) half of the titles given out in the men’s competition at the FIG World Challenge Cup in Cairo (EGY). Teammate Nazar Chepurnyi (UKR) won the Men’s Vault title ahead of Lais Najjar (SYR), who took a historic silver for Syria, while Robert Tvorogal (LTU) added gold on Parallel Bars to a rapidly growing collection of World Cup medals.

Women Day 2 Highlights:
There was no stopping Larisa Iordache (ROU) from taking gold on Balance Beam on the second day of competition at the FIG World Challenge Cup in Cairo (EGY), while Zoja Szekely (HUN) won her first World Cup title for a charismatic performance on Floor Exercise. Diana Varinska (UKR) picked up silver medals on Balance Beam and Floor Exercise, while Egyptian gymnasts added a further two bronze medals, courtesy of Zeina Ibrahim on Beam, and Mandy Mohamed on Floor.
