The Bulgarian Group was the dominant factor at home in Sofia, the first of four stops on the FIG 2021 World Cup series in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Even with minor mistakes in their new 5 Balls routine, they were able to edge Japan with both the 5 Balls and the 3 Hoops/2 Pairs of Clubs, assuring they collected all the Group gold available. Russia showed a traditional exercise for bronze with the 5 Balls, while Azerbaijan went contemporary to finish with the same color for the 3+ 2.
