The designers have deliberately bestowed the Leggera with a very classical look, reminiscent of the finest and most beautiful spiders and roadsters of the 60's. Soft, graceful lines combine beautifully with a purposeful stance to deliver a car of rare character and style -- but also one that delivers unrivalled driving pleasure (on both road and track). True to the ATS philosophy, a combination of a strong, light weight chassis, modern high efficiency engines and top quality componentry ensure that the looks are backed up by the drive -- all within a high value package. The ATS 480 Super Leggera sits at the top of the performance envelope for the Leggera range and is designed for those who want genuine 'supercar' performance within a uniquely styled, classic car. The 480 Super Leggera is not for the feint of heart!!! The turbocharged 1600cc GM engine is fitted with a larger intercooler, forged steel pistons, re-profiled camshafts and over-sized injectors to delivers a full 300bhp and almost 43kg/m of torque, spinning to a red-line of 7,500rpm. This delivers an incredible 480bhp/ton and results in performance figures that are just mind-blowing: 0-60mph in a barely believable 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 160mph. The 480 Super Leggera benefits from an incredibly rigid, ultra-light 25CrMo4 chassis as standard, allowing you to fully exploit the potential of this crazy engine. A limited slip differential, larger 310mm Tarox ventilated discs and a close ratio Quaife gearbox add to the package, along with fully adjustable Ohlins dampers and a stainless steel fuel tank. The light weight and increased rigidity ensures excellent road-holding. Coupled with the pin-point steering, this gives you incredible accuracy when cornering. The 480 Super Leggera is a demanding, yet hugely rewarding driver's car that can tour comfortably or dominate track days, the choice is yours. The stunning body is made of hand finished epoxy resin to give the Leggera better rigidity and stability, but primarily to reduce weight even further. Even in standard trim, the Leggera is very highly specified. The componentry utilised is of the highest order: lightweight alloy wheels are supplied; semi-slick tyres; the high performance braking has been developed with Tarox and combines 6 piston calipers and ventilated discs, front and rear; Ohlins adjustable race specification dampers, tuned specifically for ATS; beautifully clear, stylish, classic Smith's dials and the steering wheel made by Nardi-Turin.
